Job Description:
I. Job SummaryUnder the Director of Marketing, the Marketing
Officer (MO) is an integral part of the Marketing team helping to
ensure optimal visibility and communications for MCHS, including
the coordination and implementation of content creation, social
media and website management in support of MCHS program and
development goals.Ii. Duties & Essential Job Functions* Plan,
organize, implement, and manage marketing and communications
activities.* Prepare strategic communication plans to increase
awareness and understanding of programs and the agency to
stakeholder groups.* Assist with community relations and outreach
as needed, to increase the profile and exposure of MCHS.* Implement
a robust and creative social media strategy that increases exposure
for programs, staff, and special events. Monitor effectiveness of
social media strategies and seek continuous improvements to capture
higher engagement and reach.* Build media rapport and consistently
pitch stories highlighting MCHS new, developments and stories. *
Actively manage the marketing procurement process which includes
fund development publications, media releases, marketing materials,
newsletters, and other information. * Regularly update and monitor
the website.* Oversee marketing projects related to video
production and communications.* Fully participate in regular
agency-wide events and appropriate community-wide events and
activities.* Work closely with MCHS program departments in
supporting agency goals.* Demonstrate commitment to the social
sector with a passion for MCHS's mission and vision. * Other duties
as assigned by the Director of Marketing and/or Chief Executive
Officer.III. BASIC COMPETENCIESEducation And ExperienceThe
Marketing Officer will be a seasoned individual with broad
marketing experience, which includes, but is not limited to content
creation, marketing strategy, fundraising and community relations,
campaigns and appeals. Experience in nonprofit fund development is
a plus.* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
and at least three (3) years of experience in marketing and/or
public relations, or* Must meet the State's Moral Character
standard.Knowledge Requirements:* Computer and software
applications (All MS Office, Adobe InDesign, Website Management).*
Social media platform management: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
LinkedIn, YouTube.* Principles and practices of marketing and
public relations operations.Skills and Abilities Needed:*
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with agency staff,
business representatives, families, and vendors.* Manage time and
multiple priorities; meet deadlines.* Establish and maintain
effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and
the public. * Handle sensitive and confidential situations and
documentation.* Be collaborative and flexible, with a strong
service mentality.* Possess a high degree of personal
accountability, responsibility and independent decision making
abilities with the skills to plan, organize, develop, implement and
interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of
the organization.* Work flexible hours, when needed, which may
include some evenings and weekends. IV. JOB SETTINGThe work
