Job Description:
Join Transdev North America, a leader in providing a variety of
transportation services, including paratransit services, and
empower mobility for communities by becoming a CATA Van Driver. In
this role, you will be pivotal in facilitating the efficient
transportation of passengers with special transportation needs
within the community. You will work with a company that values
safety, quality service, and dependability, utilizing the latest
technology to monitor routes and communicate with dispatch and
other team members. Our drivers are the frontline representatives
of Transdev, adhering to company policies and legal regulations
while ensuring a safe, pleasant journey for all passengers. Safely
operate a paratransit vehicle on scheduled routes, or through a
dynamic dispatch system to transport passengers to and from
destinations. Follow routes and schedules as assigned by dispatch.
Assist passengers with boarding and deboarding safely, including
those with disabilities and special needs. Maintain accurate
records and logs of travel, vehicle inspections, and passenger
counts. Adhere to all traffic and transit regulations, company
policies, and local by-laws. Communicate effectively with
passengers, dispatch, and the management team to report any
incidents or issues. Ensure the vehicle is clean and maintained,
reporting any operational issues. Strong driving skills and a clean
driving record. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to operate wheelchair lifts and securement systems. Basic
knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practices. Capability
to manage routes and schedules effectively. Medical Insurance

commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement
preferred. Completion of a defensive driving course is an asset.
Physical fitness test and background checks are mandatory.
