The ideal candidate exhibits a can-do positive attitude and approaches his/her work with determination, strive for perfection in a fast-paced environment offering unlimited continued opportunities to learn quickly and take pride in achievements.ResponsibilitiesThis position is to involve specification, validation and release recommendation of powertrain related power electronics and high voltage systems. Plan and drive project meetings and activities. Plan and manage development activities in support of project plans and budgets, technical specifications and test plans. Analyze and resolve development issues and field issues. Contribute to standardization meetings such as SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). Evaluate new technologies and support with supplier selection recommendation. Regular and proactive communication to management of project issues, delays, risks with potential solutions and need resources.QualificationsSkills andRequirements- Minimum 5 years' experience in an automotive or aerospace related environment Experience in power electronics development for electrified vehicles Ability to work in a hands-on testing environment with common automotive equipment ( Oscilloscope, power analyzers, CAN data loggers) Experience with power electronics electrical simulation, scripting and data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, Labview Knowledge of international automotive standards and regulations for high-voltage systems and components such as SAE, UL and ISO Experience with core engineering processes such as test planning, DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D/5D reports Experience in project management processes to meet production goals and timelines Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to ~ 10 % of time Familiar with ISO 9001 implementation in day to day activities Minimum level of education required and required field of study: Minimum level of education: Bachelor degree in electrical, Computer engineering or automotive engineering from an ABET accredited institutionWhy should you apply?
