Job Description:

Nesco Resource is searching for an experience Maintenance Technician for a well-established manufacturer in Redford, MI. This is a 1st shift, direct placement opportunity.

Responsibilities

Involves all aspects of the Maintenance Department, including but not limited to:

Maintain production equipment to eliminate any downtime in the production process

Repair production equipment in breakdown situation

Perform schedule preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities

Operate overhead cranes, forklifts and manipulator

Practice good housekeeping to keep work areas clean and organized

Follows company's policies and procedures

Is responsible for knowing the quality policy and having a basic understanding of all work instructions appropriate to the position

Other job duties as assigned

Knowledge

Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure

Knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures

Skills and Abilities

Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to follow directions

Must be able to interact positively with others

Must be able to analyze and diagnose problems and coordinate corrective procedures

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent work experience

-

Experience:

Previous maintenance experience required

Welding and electrical a must

-

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sitting, squatting, walking, bending 8-10 hours per day

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to work in different weather conditions

Exposure to hot production environment on a daily basis

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment when in a production area
