Job Description Job Description Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our grocery store team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently process transactions while creating a positive shopping experience for customers. Key Responsibilities: Greet customers warmly and assist them during checkout. Scan, weigh, and bag groceries accurately and efficiently. Process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Address customer questions, provide assistance, and resolve minor concerns. Verify age-restricted purchases in accordance with store policies. Handle returns, exchanges, and price checks as needed. Follow store policies and procedures for cash handling and loss prevention. Work collaboratively with other team members and managers to ensure smooth store operations. Qualifications & Skills: Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weights. Dependable and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Positive attitude and willingness to provide excellent customer service.
